New York Minute Steaks Ingredients:
1 ½ pounds minute steaks
1 ½ tablespoons butter
1 egg
¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup fine dried breadcrumbs
4 servings
1. Beat the egg with 2 teaspoons water, the salt and pepper in a shallow bowl until blended. Spread out the breadcrumbs on a plate.
2. Working with one steak at a time, dip the steaks into the egg mixture and then into the crumbs to coat on both sides. Place the prepared steaks between 2 sheets of waxed paper and press lightly with your hand to make sure the crumbs stay on.
3. Melt the butter in a very large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and brown on both sides, cooking to degree of desired doneness.
